Downtown Hilton Garden Hotel Project Grand Opening – February 2020!
Local Hoteliers Danny and Karan Gaekwad are leading the charge on their companies’ Downtown Hilton Hotel project, located at the old Chamber of Commerce Building, near the historic Downtown Square. The hotel plans to not only host out of town guests, but to take Ocala’s downtown restaurant and bar scene to a whole new level!

This commercial real estate project will be much more than just a hotel. The hotel lobby will appeal to Marion County’s equestrians, featuring memorabilia such as regional photographs, horse show trophies and jockey silks. The space will be open to the public, not just hotel clientele, and will boast a beautiful public market, offering “Flavors from Around the World” from approximately 10+ hand selected vendors.
In addition, an outside restaurateur will occupy the main dining space, which will offer a more upscale experience. But the centerpiece of this new establishment is going to be the second floor bar with a large outdoor deck to accommodate over 200-300 customers, featuring live music every night! The outdoor patio will also have a retractable jumbo screen, which will be visible from street level, to attract local sports fans to cheer on their Gators. The outdoor patio will also serve as a canopy for market patrons below, who want to enjoy their meal in a fun street level space.

The celebrity bar staff, lead by famed mixologist Rob Floyd, featured on the reality show ‘Bar Rescue’, will spice up the downtown night life. Simply put, the 2nd floor balcony is one massive upscale party that Ocala has been craving. The new Downtown Ocala Hotel promises to be an exciting addition to Ocala’s growing cultural community and will be a fantastic gathering space for the regions greater horse community.
In addition, the Hilton Garden hotel will offer a new lodging option for visitors who are in town for equestrian events throughout our region. Being centrally located next to the Historic Downtown Square, guests will easily be able to explore the city on foot, experiencing our thriving restaurant and art district!
